Garmisch-Partenkirchen offers a grandiose nature and breathtaking scenery. We want to help to preserve this scenery for future generations. For this reason we have decided to reduce the energy consumption of Landhaus Wagner drastically. To achieve this we have taken several steps:
Photovoltaics In summer 2015 a photovoltaic system was installed on our roof. With this plant we produce about half as much power as our house consumes.
Electricity The remaining electric power requirements are covered with 100% green electricity (from January 2016).
Heating In 2015, the old oil heating system was replaced by a new, highly efficient gas condensing boiler. In addition six solar thermal modules deliver heat directly from the roof of our house. The heat can then be used directly for heating or showers.
Waste separation We attach great importance to waste separation. Directly at the house you have the option of separating your garbage in paper, plastic, organic, residual and glass waste. We want to contribute to the highest possible recycling rate.
Power Consumption Our apartments are almost exclusively lit lamps with energy-saving and LED bulbs. In addition, all refrigerators and dishwashers have a high energy efficiency. The laundry is washed directly in the house with green electricity. The washing machine also has a high energy efficiency.
Insulation In 2014, we have already started to insulate the house on the west side and the roof in order to reduce the energy consumption. We used mineral wool, which can be easily disposed after its life span. The insulation of the house, is continued in the near future.
Windows All windows in the house have been renovated in 2014 and 2015. We put great emphasis on the insulating effect of the windows.
